Weekend in Warren
We got back last night from our weekend in Warren. We had a good time. We went to Grand Forks on Friday and spent the evening with Grandpa Bob. Calli had a very good time, and I think Grandpa did too :). Saturday we went to lunch with Grandpa and Sandy and then left for Warren to see Great Grandma and Grandpa. It was such a warm weekend that we decided to take Calli to the pool, as usual she loved it :). We also went to the drive-in later that night, that was a first for all of us. It as a lot of fun. We watched Remember the Zohan. Sunday we met Tamara, Trevor and Darby. We went with them to the pool again and left back to Fargo after that. Calli was so tired she slept the entire way home :).

To go...
I just got off the phone with Donnie, and he will be going for sure this weekend. He is set to leave Monday morning early. He has to check into his hotel again Sunday night by 9:00 pm. Keep him in your thoughts. We are heading out to the lake soon to spend the weekend with him. Have a great weekend.

To go or not to go...
So the weekend was filled with festivities. They started Thursday evening with 8 or so teenagers setting up tents in the backyard of Mom and Dad's cabin. The sun came up Friday morning, shortly followed by Calli and then myself, and then of course the teenagers stumbled to bed... ahh to be young again... their Thursday ended and the rest of us began our Friday :).
The 4th of July was so much fun, at one point I think we had close to 100 people at the cabin, with enough food to feed a small army, and many very competitive games of bean bag toss, the day was brought to an end with a display of about $6,000 worth of fireworks. WOW!! Wait... that didn't end the day I believe it was the Becker County Sheriff stopping by to tell us to keep the noise down.. oops sorry neighbors :(. Again, the teenagers stumbled to bed as Calli and I were waking.. this time they had multiplied to about 20...
The weekend ended Sunday with a early drive in to town to say good bye to Donnie, the reason for all of the festivities. It was way harder than I had anticipated. I am so proud of him and know he will do great things with the US Marines.
So I say goodbye, and go home and hit the hay... I wake up to a phone call from Mom telling me that Donnie is not going today after all... He fell off his dirt bike last week and has a cut on his leg. He cannot leave for boot camp until his leg is completely healed. So same time next week, we get to do it all over again.. at least we get another week with him.
As always I'll post a picture. Here is Calli on the 4th My "Lil Sparkler"
