Halloween Fun

Calli had a blast on Halloween. We started our trick-or-treating at Grandma and Grandpa Swenson's. She got dressed there and ready to go. We then took her to the mall for trick-or-treating with her friends Shawn and Kyle, and cousin Drew aka "Drewski"... She had more fun people watching than anything. Hope all is well, here are some photos of our trick-or-treating fun!

New Chapter

We have started a new chapter in our lives this week. Nate and I both started new jobs this week. Both of us making a career change, Nate, going back to teaching after taking a few years off to work at US Bank, will be the new Elementary 2 teacher at Daktoa Montessori School. He will have a combined classroom of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. I have also taken a job there as the business manager. I will oversee all the staffing and company financials. I started at the school today and it went very well, I am very excited about our new journey.

Weekend in Warren

We got back last night from our weekend in Warren. We had a good time. We went to Grand Forks on Friday and spent the evening with Grandpa Bob. Calli had a very good time, and I think Grandpa did too :). Saturday we went to lunch with Grandpa and Sandy and then left for Warren to see Great Grandma and Grandpa. It was such a warm weekend that we decided to take Calli to the pool, as usual she loved it :). We also went to the drive-in later that night, that was a first for all of us. It as a lot of fun. We watched Remember the Zohan. Sunday we met Tamara, Trevor and Darby. We went with them to the pool again and left back to Fargo after that. Calli was so tired she slept the entire way home :).

Calli's 9 Month Photos...

I'm a little late, but finally had time to get Calli's 9 month pictures up. Enjoy :)

A weekend with Bobbi...

We spent the weekend with Bobbi this weekend to help nurse her back to health. She had her tonsils removed on Thursday, and I have to say she is doing quite well. Calli and a blast playing with her.

To go...

I just got off the phone with Donnie, and he will be going for sure this weekend. He is set to leave Monday morning early. He has to check into his hotel again Sunday night by 9:00 pm. Keep him in your thoughts. We are heading out to the lake soon to spend the weekend with him. Have a great weekend.

To go or not to go...

So the weekend was filled with festivities. They started Thursday evening with 8 or so teenagers setting up tents in the backyard of Mom and Dad's cabin. The sun came up Friday morning, shortly followed by Calli and then myself, and then of course the teenagers stumbled to bed... ahh to be young again... their Thursday ended and the rest of us began our Friday :).

The 4th of July was so much fun, at one point I think we had close to 100 people at the cabin, with enough food to feed a small army, and many very competitive games of bean bag toss, the day was brought to an end with a display of about $6,000 worth of fireworks. WOW!! Wait... that didn't end the day I believe it was the Becker County Sheriff stopping by to tell us to keep the noise down.. oops sorry neighbors :(. Again, the teenagers stumbled to bed as Calli and I were waking.. this time they had multiplied to about 20...

The weekend ended Sunday with a early drive in to town to say good bye to Donnie, the reason for all of the festivities. It was way harder than I had anticipated. I am so proud of him and know he will do great things with the US Marines.

So I say goodbye, and go home and hit the hay... I wake up to a phone call from Mom telling me that Donnie is not going today after all... He fell off his dirt bike last week and has a cut on his leg. He cannot leave for boot camp until his leg is completely healed. So same time next week, we get to do it all over again.. at least we get another week with him.

As always I'll post a picture. Here is Calli on the 4th My "Lil Sparkler"

Calli Month to Month

Did you Miss Us?

Wow… I am a self proclaimed terrible blogger. I am making it my new goal as we roll into July to blog at least 3 times a week. So your job is to check back often to keep me on my toes. Where has the time gone? We are so busy having fun with Calli and watching her grow! We are enjoying the nice weather, and CJ certainly is too. I thought I would recap you on what we have been up to since the last time I posted.. when I look back to see when I last posted, I realize it has been 5 months (ouch). So at the risk of this getting too long, I will update you on what we have done.

In Calli’s 5 Month...
Calli got to ride on an airplane for the first time. We went to visit her Great Grandparents in Arizona, and her Great Aunt and Uncle, and 4 of her 2nd cousins in Las Vegas. We were accompanied by Calli’s best bud Shawn and a very good friend of mine Jeri (A.K.A. Shawn's Mom).

We had such a good time, can you tell?

Now on to Calli’s 6 month...
We spent our Easter traveling to Warren to visit Grandpa Bob, Grandma Mag, Great Grandma Elouise, Great Grandpa Cal, and Great Grandma Betty. We did the Grand Forks-Warren tour in just two days, Calli again, was a good traveler. I also had to throw in a picture of Calli on St. Patrick's Day. She was getting over Rota virus at this time but was in really good spirits.

Where has the time gone?

It has been so long since I posted that I almost forgot I started a blog. Calli is doing well. After 3 surgeries and two 2 week long hospitals stays we are on the mend and are growing like a weed. Calli is getting so big she measured in at a whopping 11 pounds 8 ounces at her last Dr. appointment. Hey, we never said she was huge :), she is definately our little peanut. She brings us such great joy. I will post pictures when I am our other computer. Gotta check out, Calli is getting baptised in the morning. With love, Jamie.
